Wanted: Dead or Alive!

You are a wanted man. You are a wanted woman. There’s a price on your head. The bounty is high! The “bounty hunter” doesn’t matter in what state he finds you because it doesn’t matter to him whether you are dead or alive. He just wants to find you.

You see, your life values much. Why? It is sacrosanct; it has been bought with a price, and it is so precious, the one who’s looking for this “roaming” soul just wants you dead or live. 1 Cor. 6:20, “For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God.”

The Great God of all humanity created life. This Great God, YAHWEH, is calling many sons and daughters to glory through His ONLY begotten son, Jesus Christ. However, no human being can come to Jesus Christ unless the Eternal draws or call that person. John 6:44 “No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.”

Have you ever stop to think that God, the Creator of the Universe, the One who created everything; the One who’s sovereign and has control over every creature and the destiny of this universe, may be calling YOU and He wants YOU dead or alive? Yes, He may very well be CALLING you. It does not matter what state He finds you in when He returns. Jesus Christ wants to find you with His Holy Spirit dwelling in you and it does not matter whether you are breathing or dead in your grave.

Listen to this: “For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”  1 Thess. 4:16.

Jesus Christ has a calling ministry. Many are being called, but few are choosing to follow the risen Christ. God has your name on His roster, but we have to understand He’s not trying to save the world now, as some people believe. However, God is calling people in his own order. That’s why the scriptures speak of more than one resurrection. The people whom God is calling now will be in the first resurrection (Rev. 20), described as the “better resurrection.” Be careful you are not missing out on your calling because you could be jeopardising your salvation and could be missing out on an awesome promise. 2 Peter 1:3, “…seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence.”

Your calling is not something that was dreamed up overnight. God has plans for you and they were devised long, long, ago, before you were even born. Romans 8:30, “…and these whom He predestined, He also called; and these whom He called, He also justified; and these whom He justified, He also glorified.” Your life today could be like a wandering rider trying to escape the clutches of the law (of God). If you are caught by the law, you face the death penalty. There’s the fear of death following you everywhere you go; you cannot be comfortable because your life is missing something. One day you know you’re going to die and you fear the consequences thereafter, not knowing where you’ll end up. There’s a way to end that fear; there’s a way to get that bounty off your head. There’s peace, comfort, and hope in surrendering to that call or bounty on your head. It is to surrender to the call of God. God wants you dead or alive, but he would prefer to find His Holy Spirit dwelling in you. It does not matter whether you are dead or alive. If you are dead (in Christ), you will be among the first to meet Him when that trumpet is sounded; if you are alive (in Christ) you will meet Him in the air at the last trumpet sound. 1 Cor. 15:51, “Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.”

In the end, what will matter is whether you are in possession of God’s Holy Spirit; you need to have that presence in your life before you die! It won’t matter if you die after, as long as you surrender your life to God He’s going to raise you up dead or alive. Remember now, you are a wanted man, a wanted woman!
